Like, Internet Explorer 8 old (check out those graphics for a trip down internet memory lane). But it’s still relevant today as online scammers are not going anywhere, and it’s just a fun watch (hopefully).
To show that Internet Explorer protects even the most savvy users from scams, we brought typical online phishing scams offline to see if people can spot them when faced with really convincing situations.
We created three fake businesses from scratch that mimicked the structures of the most common online phishing scams. Except for the main actors which are identified, all 'customers' were unaware that they were being filmed during the interactions.
